Commercial Dial-1 Monthly Minimum Usage Charge Increase:
Effective March 1, 2009, your monthly minimum usage charge will increase by $3.00 from $12.00 to $15.00 if you selected MCI as your interLATA carrier. MCI values you as a customer and will continue to provide you with competitive services. If you have any questions, please call customer service at 1-800-444-2222.
Notice to customers in DC, DE, MD, MA, NJ, NY, PA, RI, and VA:
Effective February 1, 2009, the Company will no longer offer small business local or long distance service to new customers. Customers currently subscribed to Company residential long distance service will no longer be able to move, add to, or change the service to which they are subscribed, except that customers may change to a different Company service for which they are eligible if they wish, and customers of local/long distance integrated service may cancel local features on their service if they wish.
Notice to customers in CA, CT, FL, IN, OH, OR, SC, TX and WA:
Effective February 1, 2009, the Company will no longer offer small business local or long distance service to new customers in areas in which local exchange service is provided by any subsidiary or affiliate of Verizon not subject to www.mci.com. Customers currently subscribed to Company long distance service will no longer be able to move, add to, or change the service to which they are subscribed, except that customers may change to a different Company service for which they are eligible if they wish, and customers of local/long distance integrated service may cancel local features on their service if they wish.
Carrier Access Surcharge B:
Effective February 1, 2009, the Carrier Access Surcharge B for small business customers is increasing from $4.49 to $7.49 per line. This fee is assessed in order to offset increased charges the company incurs associated with leasing certain network components. This fee is not a tax or surcharge required by the government.
Property Tax Surcharge:
The Property Tax Surcharge will increase from 2.5% to 3.0% on November 1, 2008. This surcharge is applied to interstate and international charges, after applicable discounts and credits, and allows the Company to recover a portion of the property tax that it pays to state and local jurisdictions. This is not a tax or a charge required by the government.
Carrier Cost Recovery Charge:
Effective October 1, 2008, the Carrier Cost Recovery Charge will increase from 1.4% to 2.8% a month for customers of small business service. This charge recovers costs the Company incurs in connection with several federal programs, federal regulatory fees, and the costs associated with state-to-state access charges.
Federal Universal Service Fee
Effective July 1, 2009, the Federal Communications Commission is changing its Industry Universal Service Fund Contribution to 12.9%. Accordingly, MCI's Federal Universal Service Fee rate will change to 12.9% of all invoiced interstate and international charges, not including taxes. American Samoa
Effective May 25, 2007, service rates for calls to and from American Samoa will be billed at domestic U.S. Interstate rates rather than international rates. Depending on your plan, your charges for these calls may increase or decrease.
Mexico Operator Station Collect (U.S. Portion:
Effective May 1, 2007, the U.S. portion of the Operator Station-to-Station Collect call from Mexico will be priced at $0.45 per minute for all mileages (0-999+).
International Mobile Termination
Effective January 1, 2007, the International Mobile Termination charge on international calls terminating to wireless devices (i.e. cell phones or pagers) will increase to some countries. Also, calls to wireless devices in additional countries are now subject to the charge.
